The College of Education opens fresh avenues of experiences that effectively address the challenges of our times. We prepare our students to be 21 st Century teachers, future administrators, community leaders, adult educators, counselors, researchers, trainers in the community and a lot more education-related careers.
The Education programs like the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) was granted by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) Level IV Accredited status and ACSCU, Accrediting Agency,Inc. awards our Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) Level III re-accreditation status and Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) Level II. The passing percentage of our first takers in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) is always above the national passing percentage.
The skills developed in the College help our students find placement in a diverse range of fields after graduation. College alumni have led successful careers in the Department of Education (DepEd) not only as classroom teachers but as Head Teachers, Principals and even as Supervisors as well as those in the Private schools. Others become Curriculum and Research experts.
Our students are guided by professors in the College who are themselves leaders in their own disciplines and on the forefront of creating new knowledge. Our students also play a vital role in making the program successful through hardwork and persistence to finish a career. What we offer our students is a highly educational program that is approved by the Commission on Higher Education.
Programs and Offerings
The College offers undergraduate and graduate programs with concentration both in pedagogy and content areas.
The undergraduate programs are: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd), Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) majors in English, Math, Science and Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd).
The graduate programs are: Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) major in: Educational Administration, Guidance and Counseling, Early Childhood Education, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, Filipino, Mathematics, Physical Education. Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) major in Educational Management. We also offer Professional Education units for those non-education programs who would like to take the Licensure Examination for teachers.
We aim to enhance access to and responsiveness of our existing master’s and doctoral offerings by using our online and hybrid courses.

Since its inception in 1965, the College of Education has developed a progressive curricula that incorporates creative interface between theory and practice.
In teaching, this strategy is accomplished using laboratories and multi-media resources that are continually upgraded to accommodate cutting-edge topics in education and educational technology.
In regards strategies and methods of teaching, student teachers learn through practice teaching conducted in the laboratory schools of Philippine Christian University-Union Elementary School and Union High School and off-campus, in affiliated private and public schools.
To achieve its research objectives, the College of Education is integrating the teaching improvement activities for language and education to the research agenda of other development units within Philippine Christian University such as the Center for Research and Instructional Materials.
This integration facilitates the active involvement of all faculty members in educational and language research such as those being implemented in the areas of English Language Proficiency, Child Education, Remedial Teaching, Test and Measurement, and Computer-Aided Education.
