Dean's Welcome Message
“A good teacher is like a candle ― it consumes itself to light the way for others”.—(Unknown) Teachers rejoice for everyday affirms their worth as light and guide of their students through the halls of learning.
The PCU College of Education and Allied Programs (CEDAP) offers educational program that encompasses the development of educators both in the Elementary and Secondary levels of basic education. The present challenges of education such as K-12 implementation, ASEAN 2015, Center of Development and the current trend of globalization are the bases of equipping and honing the students with the basic knowledge, skills and values that will help them achieve academic excellence. Such education is grounded upon and pursued along the vision of the university which is a “distinctively strong Christian university integrating faith, character and service in building up and enhancing the quality of life” and the department vision which is “a service – oriented college committed to the continuous pursuit of excellence in the development of Christian teachers and school managers”. Thus, we are tasked to nurture and produce globally competitive teachers and school managers with strong Christian conviction.
CEDAP continuously nurture FAITH of our faculty and students through Bible studies, devotions, convocations and retreats; enhance CHARACTER through role models of Christian Values and corporate image; and inspire SERVICE through quality teaching/learning, maintaining high accreditation level, high percentage of LET board passers, sustaining linkages and community outreach program and meeting international standards being an ISO certified university. To God be the glory.
